A lifetime of learning begins now!
The dedication and ribbon-cutting for Killeen ISD’s newest campus, the 3-story 1,350 student capacity Killeen Elementary School, took place this past Sunday (August 8th). Designed by Huckabee (Arch & Struct), IEG (MEP), Crux (Tech), and Kimley-Horn (Civil), the $39.8M, 160,000 SF Killeen Elementary School replaces the East Ward Elementary School which was built in 1952 and represents a landmark investment in the east-central portion of the District.

Nurturing School Pride
Killeen Elementary School combines the student bodies of the older East and West Ward campuses and now serves as a symbol of the unwavering support of the local community, not just from a financial perspective but also from a cultural and educational standpoint.
The dedication was attended by over 200 community members including leadership from the District, Board of Trustees, City of Killeen, and the local Killeen Chamber of Commerce.
