Austin, Texas – Being recognized as one of the Austin Business Journal’s Best Places to Work is certainly an honor. But for us, the award represents something much bigger than a trophy or a ranking.
It represents our people.
Recently, members of our Austin Region gathered to celebrate this year’s Best Places to Work recognition alongside hundreds of organizations committed to creating exceptional workplaces. It was an evening of celebration, reflection, and appreciation for the culture that our employee-owners have built together.
At Bartlett Cocke General Contractors, we’ve always believed that great projects begin with great people. While we’re proud of the schools, hospitals, manufacturing facilities, and community spaces we build across Central Texas, we’re equally proud of the culture that makes those projects possible.
Our purpose is simple: Building Better Lives. That commitment extends far beyond the jobsites where we work. It begins with creating an environment where our people feel valued, supported, challenged, and empowered to grow.
A Reflection of the Bartlett Cocke Family
One of the things that makes Bartlett Cocke special is that we’re more than coworkers—we’re a family.
That family includes the project teams solving complex challenges every day, the field leaders mentoring the next generation of builders, the office teams supporting every project behind the scenes, and the employee-owners who take pride in building something bigger than themselves.
Our Austin Region embodies that spirit every day.
Whether it’s collaborating to solve a problem, celebrating a project milestone, volunteering in our communities, or welcoming a new team member, our people consistently demonstrate that success is built through relationships.
Built by Employee-Owners
As an employee-owned company, every member of our team has a personal investment in our future.
Ownership creates a different mindset. It encourages accountability, collaboration, and pride in everything we do. It means looking beyond today’s project and focusing on the long-term relationships that have defined Bartlett Cocke for more than six decades. Employee ownership continues to be one of the defining characteristics that sets our company apart.
That mindset is reflected not only in the buildings we deliver but in the culture we’ve built together.
Celebrating What Matters Most
Awards like Best Places to Work are meaningful because they’re based on the experiences of the people who come to work each day.
Receiving this recognition reminds us that while construction is what we do, people are who we do it for.
To every member of our Austin team, thank you for making Bartlett Cocke a place where people want to build careers, support one another, and make a lasting impact on the communities we serve.
We’re incredibly proud of this recognition, grateful to the Austin Business Journal for the honor, and even more grateful for the people who make Bartlett Cocke such a special place to work.
Congratulations to our Austin Region on this well-deserved achievement. Here’s to continuing to build better projects, stronger relationships, and better lives—together.
