Bartlett Cocke General Contractors completed a new middle school for Carroll Independent School District located in Southlake, Texas. The two-story, 168,181 SF Carroll Middle School was designed by NATEX Architects and features a competition football field, track and field amenities and full and partial practice fields.

To significantly reduce energy costs, Bartlett Cocke General Contractors installed a geothermal heating/cooling system with more than 500 source wells on the site. A grant from the State Energy Conservation Office (SECO) also provided funding for a 460 KW solar array which is installed on the school’s roof, making it one of the largest rooftop solar arrays in the state. Carroll ISD has a goal of reducing energy costs by as much as 70%.
